Rollo, M.D. Reliant Medical Group, Family Physician for 30 years Topic: Out of a culture of death some 2500 years ago, the Hippocratic Oath was forged. Abortion has eviscerated this Oath in recent times. Will the medical profession be further co-opted and corrupted by Doctor Prescribed Suicide? Will pressure increase on the vulnerable and elderly to choose death? Will medical doctors be pressured to violate their conscience? Will the overall society see an increase in suicides? Are patients at increased risk of abuse or subtle pressure to comply with state sanctioned suicide? If DPS becomes law, is it much cheaper to kill the patients than to heal them or comfort them until natural death? And are not legislative bodies suppose to 'promote the general welfare'?
