Original Air Date: August 16, 2026 Brendan O'Connell Host and Producer of "Life Matters" TV program Topic: MA. Democrat Governor Maura Healey signed into law on August 10, 2026, the 'Prioritizing Patient Access to Care Act' legalizing abortion up to BIRTH. The Democratic legislature passed it by wide margins (House 119 to 33 on July 22nd and Senate 15 to 4 on July 31st with no recorded Roll Call vote in the Senate. Now the child in the womb has no protection up to birth. And more women will be pressured into late term abortions. Moreover, there's no medical review process that can override the treating physician or medical proxy. Should Healey, a self professed Catholic, be Ex-Communicated? Will Catholic Bishops in Massachusetts fail us again? Women deserve better and children deserve protection from this law that is a contradiction to health care.
